Leopards have kicked off the 2018/19 season Saturday junior football league with a well deserved victory at always competitive St Joseph’s Tigers. In a very even match, played at St Joseph’s Primary School on a beautiful sunny day, Leopards have tested themselves playing 2 x 30 minutes on a 9-a-side pitch for the first time. Starting in a more cautious 3-2-2-1 formation, Legacy’s U11 football team have managed to keep the shape and discipline throughout the first half. However, the level of concentration and fitness have slightly dropped in the second half. At that point, substitutions were needed and players brought on managed to hold their own. With chances at both ends, our forwards managed to hit the post couple of times but didn’t really have as many shots on goal considering the opportunities. All three goals were scored by Morgan. The boys were buzzing!
